tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35403587.post20306493106465800..comments2023-07-25T08:22:35.176-06:00Comments on Kennedy's Corridor: Weekend ReviewKennedyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14149130617213590448noreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35403587.post-63026928538387658122007-09-04T17:04:00.000-06:002007-09-04T17:04:00.000-06:00I thought KC's singling of Midnight Lute was a ver...I thought KC's singling of Midnight Lute was a very good one // I have gotten much better about ignoring high BSF's since Invasor defeated Bernadini last year and I need to remember that lesson // I think a lot of us took High Finance based on his effort before last Saturday race // I was getting the idea the tote board was saying something when Midnight Lute was taking moneying and I told myself maybe I should rethink this // Unfortunately, for me anyway, I didn't // <BR/>I know this is probably just anecdotal, but looking back at for example some the sprint races in Fla. and etc., this year, it seemed like the horses running in the shorter races ( in this case 7 furlongs) were more vulnerable after producing one or two high BSF figure races// <BR/>I was looking at KC's rankings and agree with them // In looking at all the divisions, for next year, in addition to the three year olds, I want to expand my interest in the older divisions and the fillies and mares divisions because these runners have as much to give in terms of entertainment, I believe, as the 3 yr olds // The competition for interest in these other divisions areas run smack into the desire by many of the handicappers to be one of of the ones to pick the Ky Derby winner and who carry that interest all the way around to the Breeders' Cup races // In some respects, it all the emphasis on just the 3 yr olds could be a little unwarranted, but it is fun //<BR/>There are going to be many good races in the Breeders Cup besides the BC Classic and it will be interesting to see what the Euros send over in all of the divisions //<BR/>AS far as the BC Classic goes, right now, I am assuming Lawyer Ron will be entered in that race, but I am not sure // If he stays on form he should be tough where ever he ends up // It will be interesting to see where Hard Spun ends up // And so you may have Lawyer Ron, SS, AGS, Curlin, Hard Spun, Tiago and maybe a surprise along the way that will make this years Classic a great race to watch // There is still some time left, so maybe things will start to getting sorted out a by the end of this month // thanks// chicago gerryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
