TCR update

This was a very quiet week stakes wise. There was almost nothing of note going on stateside. The only impactful races run this week were at Woodbine. Go Deputy is no one's idea of a superstar but I for one am glad that a system like this gives him the opportunity to get recognized. This year he has run 9 times and has never been out of the money, in fact he has only once been worse than second. He was inches away from gathering his second G-1 win of the season and while he may get lost in the shuffle after the Breeders Cup its nice to see him up there now. The othe change to the standings was Arravale nipping Gorella for third spot in the FM Turf division. Arravale's win was most satisfying to me as I have been quite high on her ability since last year. She may not be as good as Wait a While but she is the best turf filly that Canada has had in a very long time. At this stage she would be my vote for Horse of the Year in Canada.
