I think most people this weekend off. There wasnt much going on aside from the Florida Millions at Calder. Especially after the Red Bank at Aqueduct was washed off the turf.
I think the perfomance of the weekend has to go to Take D'Tour. Her win at Calder moved her up into 5th place in the filly and mare dirt division. This win was especially good because she showed a new dimension. She completely shut off and was running in 3rd in the early going down behind horses. She rated beautifully and was able to use that new dimension to record her first ever win around 2 turns. We already know she has talent, now if she can rate effectively in all her raes we could see her becoming a major player next season.
I also liked the Jack Price Juvenile. Dream of Angels posted a narrow victory over the consistent Green Vegas. Granted Green Vegas is a better horse around two turns. I dont really think these guys will have a huge impact on the TC trail next year but perhaps Green Vegas might be able to.
Nice to see the classy old Revved Up win the Bonnie Heath Turf Cup again. Have to love the old Live Oak Plantation runners.
