Every year at the Breeders Cup there is usually at least one horse who wins that virtually nobody picked. With so much talent assembled its not surprising that some very good horses get completely dismissed. I'm going to take a look at a few of them who could be great value on BC if they run.
India - Remember the "most talented horse I've ever had" statement from the Peachtree stable, upon the advent of her sale? Well they may not have been so crazy after all. This filly has always been capable of running very well but she has been terribly inconsistent. All of the sudden though she looks like a different horse and I believe it can be accounted for with a single factor. Two turns. She has been literally explosive in both her races around two turns and hwile a preference for early speed makes her more vulnerable against top company it would not shock me to see this filly continue to take big leaps forward.
Courtnall - I tabbed him as my best under the radar performer of the weekend and now his connections have confirmed a tilt at the Mile. This guys Beyer speed figures are well below the requisite level for winning a race like the Mile. However I really love his turn of foot. He is an extremely quick horse and that burst of speed if used properly can be deadly at a Mile. He nearly ran down Aragorn last out and he just seems to be getting better with every start.
Attila's Storm - With Bordonaro out of the Sprint this may be the fastest horse left. His back class is, I think, good enough to win the Sprint. His campaign this year has been halted by injury but his connections really believe in his potential. His graded stakes debut was the BC Sprint last year and he ran a very very good 4th. He then did very well in his following races before getting injured. In the Vosburgh he once again went straight to the front and didnt quit even when he was passed. It was the type of comback you like to see. Not to mention the fact that Schosberg was more confident of a big BC effort after facing Henny Hughes than before.

I hope people slam down Henny, Bordonaro, Pomeroy, & Bling at the windows. Better price on Siren Lure. Not exactly a bomb, but perhaps an overlay. He's the second coming of Kona Gold, only this gelding is more consistent & versatile on both surfaces. Has the same jock too. And like Lit de Justice, coming directly from the Pat O'Brien. That layoff could hurt him, but should also inflate his price even more. To actually close like that in Hollywood is a task in itself. A Beyer between 100-106 is all that's needed in a last Sprint prep. Siren Lure has a 110 and is only getting better. He is tops in your TCR and I'm hoping he stays there. Lets just keep this a secret between you, me, your alter ego, peeptoad, and the lurkers who like our ideas. Hoping Siren Lure nails them all at the end...
