it seems as if i am always a day or two behind on catching up with the Kennedy Corridor postings basically due an illness which i hope to recover from fully by this summer/ i chose this spot to respond to wednesday's posting because it is the most current posting// it was amazing that wednesday's posting on AGS and the 'final furlong' is exactly what i have been stewing over ever since i took a bath at the windows on saturday last/ the posting was helpful in that it will give me another tool with which to analyze the 133rd kentucky derby// honestly, my thoughts after the wood went something like this// stormello's trainer said both he (the trainer) and stormello were tired/ plecther said AGS was tired/ my goodness 'tired'.. every body's tired/ and so what happens// colts like these lay around in the hay, they roll around in the sand, they take little walks around the shed row, if lucky, they might even get to eat a little kentucky bluegrass while sunbathing under bright kentucky skys, and they love supper time eating like eating machines/ finally they get get a little exercise, fill out, and become all dappled and emerge with beautiful coats/ they produce one or two bullets right before the '133rd'// and so, what is the handicapper to do?/ these kinds of colts can really screw things up on derby day// i hate that// finally, regarding steppenwolfer from last year's derby/ for the right or wrong reason's, and it really doesn't conflict with KC's posting in my mind/ the reason i included him last year was the comment line indicated he was gaining on the leader (apparently while getting passed)// well i think i am right on that// if not, i have always recognized that i got a little lucky// 'hey', it's better than a kick in the pants// chicago gerry
