For The Love Of The Game

As many of you know I'm a big advocate of changing certain aspects of this sport to make it more about competition and less about cherry picking perfect spots with easy fields. I love point systems, full fields and horses with 10 or more races during a campaign and I hate 4 horse G-1's and Champions who are seen on the racetrack about as often as the Loch Ness monster is seen posing for the paparazzi.

The American Graded Stakes Committee has considerable power in that breeders value their stallion based on the AGSC's valuation of the races the stallion won. A change in the way they value races could mean a change in the value of champions. Hopefully something can be done to encourage more competition and longer campaigns.

Please visit this online petition of sorts and leave a comment. The more support the better.
