It was not a great day for my primary selections, in fact only With Honour even managed to hit the frame but I did tab the winner in all three races.
Prado demonstrated why he is a top jock and why Rajiv Maragh isn't in the 5th when he produced Rising Moon in the last jump to win the three horses photo. Maragh meanwhile gave With Honour a curious trip and he seemed to leave his horse flat footed at a vital moment then again lost ground when he swung out in the straight. He managed to get beaten while on the best horse.
Silverinyoupocket turned out to be a much better filly than the rest of them. It was a dominant performance and she may actually have a future in stakes races. This may speak very well for Curlin's chances as he steps up.
The feature unfolded nearly as I thought it would, although Barbican was closer than what I'd consider ideal. He just didn't have anything to go on, he was in the perfect spot when they straightened out. Political Force continues jerkens excellent run against me. It seems like every race I look at he's winning. Things went perfectly for him and the closers couldn't get there.
The record of the horses I picked today was 9-3-0-1. A flat $2 win bet on all of them would have made you a $20.60 profit (+114.4% ROI)
My overall performance record for this blog is 94-19-14-13 (+$15.40 +8.19% ROI). So 20% of my official selections end up in the winners circle and just 48% of them run in the frame, they've combined for a 8% return on investment. I have to say the winning percentage is very weak considering that fact that I'm mostly selecting three horses in each race. My overall lifetime percentage is 31% with 56% of my selections running in the frame, and that is with single selections. So I am really under performing in this space, its true that its harder to pick winners a day or two in advance which is what I'm mostly doing but still. I'm in a slump. Thank goodness I'm actually showing a profit, it really is incredible considering how poorly I've done overall.
Hopefully I find the time to refocus myself and get back on track.
