My best day of the meet. Asi Siempre won a very oddly run race in the Doubledogdare. The pace was even more pedestrian than the Blue Grass getting the first quarter in :27.14 and the half in :52.11. The distance was also a sixteenth shorter and yet the speed did not hold at all. I also couldn't believe that Defer paid $8.60 to win. He looked like the banker of the day and yet support for him was tepid at best.
