Not a terrible way to end the meet. At least I turned a profit. But I couldn't help but notice that I had some pretty hard luck. I lost photo finishes with several of my nice plays. Still in the end I payed for my extremely slow start.
By way of comparison my performance was not all that bad. The public handicappers for the Daily Racing Form and Keeneland only had two winners more than I did (35) and although they don't calculate their ROI I'm sure mine is about in line with what they did. I actually outperformed Mike Battaglia and America's Handicapper by seven winners.
A public handicapper is a tough job, to get a high percentage of winners and a positive ROI it takes great skill indeed.
